Junior YouTuber Class – Generally Suitable For Primary 4 to Primary 6 Students in Hong Kong

Our Junior YouTuber classes are generally suitable for P4 to P6 students in Hong Kong Primary Schools. Our classes are divided into two sections: storytelling and drama techniques, and video editing. Here’s what your child can expect during our classes:

Firstly, we begin with a short warm-up activity to get students in the mood for the lesson. Then, we introduce the topic or theme for the day and use interactive teaching methods to go through different story elements such as storyboarding, character development, and projecting emotions. We focus on one aspect of the story at a time and immediately follow up with practice and application where students receive feedback from both the teacher and their peers.

After a short break, we move on to the video editing part of the lesson. We introduce a short scene, and our teacher-led demonstration shows students how to set up the scene, shoot it, and put it together in Adobe Premiere Pro. Then, students get hands-on practice to recreate scenes, either using footage they shoot in class or pre-recorded video, under the guidance of the teacher. This part is where students do the most learning.

Finally, at the end of the lesson, each student presents what they created and how they did it. This encourages students to share their techniques and ideas, solidifying their knowledge and helping them become better at what they do.

Please note that our lessons are not divided equally between the two sections, as it depends on what we’re working on at the time. We adapt each class to the needs of the students.
